What’s Poppin’ y’all? Happy Midterms Season! Check out our latest episode, this week we talk about a lot of fascinating developments. For starters, Ariana Grande recently announced on Twitter that she is expecting to release her next album THIS MONTH. The hosts get into a conversation about the explosion of her career through her last two albums, ‘Sweetener,’ and ‘Thank U Next,’ and the huge contrast between the aesthetics of those eras between the ones of her debut, after departing from her Nickelodeon career.
In other news, the relationship between celebrities and their body image is a topic that is prominent this week, as Billie Eilish has faced an abhorrent amount of criticism, following being paparazzi’d outside of her signature attire – baggy clothing that conceals the frame of her body. Known for refusing to base her visual aesthetics off of her sex appeal, many were shocked to see Billie wear a tank top in public, and went as far as to bully and harrass her for her body. In response to the hate, she reposted a TikTok on her instagram story, titled, “we need to normalize real bodies.” This relates back to our conversation last week, where we discussed the detriments of plastic surgery/photoshopping towards beauty standards and individual self-perception.
Furthermore, Amanda finds out that Andre from Victorious has a net worth of $245 million – and loses her mind about it. As the most underrated actor on Victorious, Leon Thomas III made accomplishments beyond what was expected of his Nickelodeon career – such as being signed to Columbia Records, being the singing voice of Tyrone from the Backyardigans, writing multiple songs for his costar Ariana Grande, as well as coproducing Post Malone’s debut album, ‘Stoney.’
We also talk about how Olivia has had a few unique life experiences – such as being an employee for Paul Rudd, and attending his annual Christmas Parties.
