Avra Bossov, a junior, became the third candidate to announce her campaign for Executive Vice President of the Student Association Monday morning with the launch of her campaign website, www.AvraForGW.com.
Bossov, who currently serves as SA President Julia Susuni’s deputy chief of staff, said she will focus on “utilizing the Senate as a public forum.”
“I want students to be encouraged to use the Senate as a bridge between them and the administration,” she said.
The political communication major from Cherry Hill, New Jersey said she wants to focus her efforts on issues ranging from improving campus police communication to the community, to planning more career events, and student health services.
“When the Student Health Service and University Counseling Center relocate to campus, we need to ensure the helpfulness and quality of their services,” she said.
Last year Bossov served as the SA assistant vice president for public affairs. She also serves as co-public relations chair for Alternative Breaks, and will go to Cherokee Nation in Oklahoma this spring break. She is a brother of Alpha Phi Omega.
“It’s important for the EVP to sit down with each senator to discuss the work we’re doing,” she said. “I look forward to continuing the meaningful work the SA has done.”
Bosov joins Sophomore Paul Lisbon and Juniors Chris Stillwell and Ian Crueldad in the race.
